Skill Level, Ages & Tuition

Required: Knowledge of Algebra. This course is customized for beginner to advanced learners ages 12-17. Curriculum is delivered in small student clusters and individually tailored to each student. All students will go home with a completed project at the end of the week.

Like solving mathematical equations? Are you an aspiring computer programmer or simply intrigued by programming? Do you want to know what the folks at Microsoft and Facebook do for a living? Look no further. This computer science summer camp will help you achieve your goals. Even if you have never programmed before, by the end of the week, you’ll be coding proficiently. Advanced students will find the right challenge with our customizable curriculum.

This course is also well-suited for students wanting to learn the nuts and bolts of the programming used in our gaming courses. This course can be repeated over several weeks, or combined with other courses (scroll down for recommended packages).

What's New

Students in this summer computer programming camp will now have more time to code and gain a deeper understanding of the dynamic world of computer programming. Beginning students will learn the fundamentals of programming (in C++ or Java). Advanced students can look forward to college level topics including various types of algorithms and abstract data types. You may even learn how to create your own real and eye-catching WINDOWS applications with buttons, checkboxes and more!

Gaming Activities: Gaming Tournaments, Ultimate Gaming Weekends

General gameplay is a fun aspect of our summer camps, but does not infringe on instructional time. This season will feature Gaming Tournaments and Ultimate Gaming Weekends showcasing the industry’s best. We use NVIDIA® GeForce® gaming cards for peak gaming performance. Students will play BIG titles from Epic Games®, Activision®, Blizzard® Entertainment, THQ®, Microsoft® GameStudios™ and more. In order to offer the most cutting edge experience for our campers, we have adopted the policy of allowing the use of some select games with ESRB ratings of “E” for Everyone, “T” for Teen and “M” for Mature to be used as part of our curriculum in a supervised environment. We take our corporate responsibility and iD family values very seriously, but cannot guarantee that younger students will avoid complete contact with these games. Please know that we make every effort to minimize exposure to any games not appropriate for these age groups.

Note 1: Gaming does NOT infringe on instructional time.
Note 2: Games with ESRB Ratings of E, T and M are used at our camps.

Cool Summer Camp Activities

Balance is the key to every week at iD. While we are in the labs a majority of the day, we certainly take time out for fun summer camp activities. Students may participate in ultimate frisbee, capture-the-flag, fun outdoor teambuilding games, soccer, etc. If sports are not your thing, no worries! We've got awesome gaming tournaments, Guitar Hero®, social time and more! Details.
